La Villa Nomad, Marrakech

Tucked away from the mayhem of Djemal Fna in one of the most ancient parts of the Medina you will find the splendid La Villa Nomad. Set around a beautiful palm filled courtyard this exceptionally large riad hotel has twelve rooms named after famous globe trotting explorers from different periods of history, each room tastefully decorated with hints of each of these explorers adventures.

Whilst renovating, the clever architect has taken the corners of this palatial riad and designated these spaces for the suites, luxuriously spreading them over two floors, so they have a magnificent double aspect feature,  with a drawing room on one floor and a bedroom on another, with romantic open fire places, and sumptuous decor you really feel like you are in your own private palace.

Their is an amazing plunge pool on the first floor and of course the hamam and spa so that you can really feel relaxed. The terrace is great for all those sun worshippers.

The highlight of my stay had to be the food,  the ultra hip restaurant is a truly nomadic experience, as it serves the most fantastic fusion of different cuisines from around the world.
