Been busy for a while. I have moved house to a nice calm neighbourhood outside of the Medina, while we wait for our house to be built. A cosy little house and a beautiful shady garden.
Summer is over now, and we are heading into autumn.
The new house has a beautiful pool, such a shame for the children that its become to cold to use it. The children have found a new source of entertainment in our new garden……..
The boys are having lessons in how to knock the dates from the trees using the traditional way, with stones. Thanks to our ever patient driver. Unfortunately the garden has now become a bit of a war zone since the lessons began the driver has learnt to duck and weave like a professional boxer. (I am thinking of buying him a hard hat! ) hopefully the boys will get the dates down before the birds eat them all.
I am extremely worried about our windows. The boys assure me that technically these are very important lessons, after all what better way to learn the laws gravity, than trying them out for yourselves.
Its great to watch (from a distance) as it reminds me of how I used to try to get conkers from the Chestnut trees in England at this time of year way back when I was a kid. This though will be a far more yummy experience in the long run…..
I love to watch the seasons change.
